I just purchased a 1964 Fordson Super Major with a loader and backhoe. Any idea on the original color of the frame and fenders. I thought that they were blue with white fenders. The one that I bought is blue with yellow fenders, is that possible?

Scott: Your 1964 Super Major is a bit unique in that '64 was the last year of production for the Fordson tractor before Ford World Operations merged and the Super Major became the 5000 series.
Some Super Majors in late summer of 64 actually had a Ford 5000 decal on the hood. The Super Majors like yours were originally fordson blue on
the engine, axles, hubs, transmission and differential while the radiator cowl, hood, fuel tank and fenders were light grey. As the previous post indicated correctly, the Power Majors were blue with orange wheels as were some of the earlier Super Majors. We've had some fine posts from Fordson friends in the UK who have indicated that color schemes did vary depending on date and if the unit was intended for export or use in the UK.

Have you looked to see if there is a color under the yellow? The Power Majors were mostly Blue but I've seen some with white hood/fenders. Yellow could be possible. Ask Don in Tractor Cafe. He's real knowledgable about the Fordsons.
