NAPA told me '90.. but it has a 350 with a carb, and I don't THINK they where made with a carb past like 88? ANY info you could give me on this car would be GREAT! Thanks

This is a 1987 model year as identified by the eighth digit from the beginning. GM started in 1980 with the letter A for 1980, B for 1981, C for 1982 and so on. They skipped the letter I so letter J became 1988. They thought the letter I resembled number 1. Again the letter H makes it a 1987 model. Good Luck

Serial numbers are universal across all vehicles made in the US. The last eight digits identify the year and sequential serial number. the year is the eight digit from the right.

You have your year confused with the engine code. The car is a 1984 originally equipped with an LG4 305 V8.
