I have been considering a rotary tiller for my JD 950. Does anyone have experience with these 3 pt rotary tillers? and what has it been? Any specific brands? Any specific experience with the 950?

Howard Rotovator... many moons old, works great.
Keep it lubed. Faced the tines with hardfacing rod.

I have a L28 rotovator where did you get your tines at. I found them but they want $250.00 for them sounds like you found them cheaper.

I've been running a Howard on my 750 for better than 10 years now, doing commercial tilling. No complaints whatsoever. Big hint is to make sure you keep your slip clutch on the pto shaft set properly, to avoid pounding the chain drive to death. That gets expensive to repair (Voice of Experience Speaking,,,)

I have had good success mounting a Merry tiller
to the 3pt hitch.
