Allan how is the wet hay crop comming? Has it dried enough to turn it? My dad had to do that a few times while he was raising hay. I don't think we got the rain you do. Will you be able to save it? Maybe you can try the plow again on the other field. Stan

HI Allan;
When I started out selling machinery to farmers, my boss said "if you drive up to a farm and see"
1 - horse = check with order
2 - horses = cash with order
3 or more = turn around and drive away
Was he correct?

Good luck with your forage salvaging

Cheers David

He's right.

I've got six of the buggers and I do notice that folks just drive right on by. :>)

I dunno,

It is gonna be touch and go.

Been in the field off and on since 5am pulling the wet soggy stuff up out of the mud. What alfalfa is left I can get in the morning when the dew is down.

Now however, I'm racin' against time because the wheat hay is turning to straw before I can get the baler to it.

But, I had to stop and come to the house to do my computer chores that pay the bills around here. :>)

Hey Allan, maybe it"s none of my business but I"ve always been curious what kind of business you run? Is it an ISP or hosting service? I do computer work from home now and have toyed with the idea of doing some web hosting but it"s a 24/7 thing and I do like to slip out of the office once in awhile.

We do private client contracting.

We don't own this business; it owns us. Just like miking cows without the phooie. :>(

Allan: It's this great big area of high pressure that's been sitting right on top of my fields for the last two and a half weeks that's giving you all the rain. You should be in the clear by next Tuesday, if that helps any. Cheers.

Hey Allan, why not buy a chopper and forage wagon and throw that stuff in a ground bunk for winter feed?

I've only got $13 left to my name. We own a corral full of horses, ya know. :>)
