I HAVE A JOHN DEERE 2010, GAS. JOHN DEERE LOADER.
SINCE COLD WEATHER, HYDRAULICS AND POWER STEERING
WONT WORK, OR ONLY FOR 20 MINUTES AT MOST, BEFORE
QUITTING. J.D. DEALER DRAINED HYDRAULIC FLUID,
CLEANED FILTER(WAS NOT DIRTY)REPLACED WITH NEW FLUID. IN WARM SHOP, WORKED OK. OUTSIDE, IT RAN
2 HOURS BEFORE QUITTING. ENGINE RUNS AND STARTS FINE, NO TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

I AGRRE WITH TIM,CHECK YOUR HYDRAUIC PUMP CONNECTOR FIRST. NEXT YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE YOUR GETTING A GOOD SUPPLY OF OIL TO YOUR MAIN PUMP. THEY DO NOT CREATE A VACUMN & WILL NOT 'SUCK' OIL. YOU HAVE A TRANSMISSION PUMP THAT LUBRICATES THE TRANNY & PROVIDES HEAD PRESSURE TO MAIN PUMP INLET. THE TYPE OF TRANNY PUMP DEPENDS ON WHICH TRANNY YOU HAVE. SYNCR IS SIMPLE GEAR PUMP. YOUR MAIN HYDRAULIC PUNP IS VARIABLE DISPLACMENT. NOT REALY ALOT TO GO WRONG ON THEM--NOT FUN TO GET OFF THOUGH. IT MIGHT HAVE A VALVE STICKING

Check the splines on the hydraulic pump and the coupler. They may be worn.

Sounds like the pump itself. Only other thing is the relief valve, but thet should do it all the time. I think it is probably a pump problem

does the pump start to rattle before it quits or does it just quit? e-mail me with info and we'll try to figure it out.
