Check out the fuel filter INSIDE the tank.

Drain all of the fuel out, take off the fuel line and unscrew the fuel shutoff valve. There will be a filter on top of the valve.

Check the ferrules on the fuel lines at the fuel pump before the injector pump (if its a diesel).
The ferrules will leak sometimes.

Probably a fuel blockage in the pickup. Found on many occasions on trucks and tractors etc bits of wood from people checking the fuel level with a stick.

All the best

Are there any hoses in the flow lines one of them could be leaking air and not fuel just had a friend of mine go through this on his pickup. check the sediment bowl if the bowl will fill without cracking a line probably leaking air. take the line from the tank off and see if the line runs a good flow the size of the line on gravity flow should be adequate if the stream from a low pressure pump like a fuel pump on a car it should squirt a good stream about a foot if it just dribbles it's junk if it is getting good fuel flow to it.

Had the same problem with my diesel truck, 'bout drove me crazy. Finally found a pinhole in fuel intake line in fuel tank. Thought I had it fixed when I soldered it shut, and yes, it didn't leak. Finally swapped intake line from other tank, and works fine now, on the one tank. Any place in your fuel system where fuel is being drawn in under a vacuum, like prior to a fuel pump? Or does fuel feed by gravity? I'd be inspecting fuel lines & connections prior to filter very thoroughly. May not show as a leak where fuel gets out of lines. Also could there be a bend or obstruction in fuel line causing an unusually high vacuum to be created prior to fuel pump or injector pump? This could aggrivate the situation.
Good luck!
