Lena really wants a power tilt for the boat...so she don't have to run to the back and pull up the motor when I run it in the sand. Merry Christmas!

new wire brushes to go with the F-14 now sitting in the yard! a new splittin' axe, a new handle for the old splittin' axe, splittin' lessons so the handle won't get broke again, and a fresh bottle of absorbine JR. Oh yeah , almost forgot, steel shin guards to keep the axe marks off her wooden leg! He he he! Just kidding, I am getting off easy this year, single and no girlfriend within 70 miles, but if anybody knows of a girl who can swing an axe, let me know, I need some barn beams hewn. Merry Christmas all!

Can't help but remember what my old Grand dad use to say about Grandma:"She never uses anything that I buy her:
Bought her a new cornpicker two years ago and she never used it: Bought her a new manure spreader last year and she never used it: Bought her a cemetery lot five years ago, and she ain't never used it ,either !! " Sadly, a few years ago, ... she finally did.

OK took notes. Don't remember all the suggestions but have alot of years covered including birhdays. (Shes had a few y'know). BTW If you were the one who suggested reloading supplies, better check where you left those trigger lock keys. :)

Last year I gave her a new 190 degree thermostat for her car. This year she needs a can of Bars stop leak. Don't know if I should wrap it up or not.

Tops on the Missus' Christmas list this year was an aluminum manure shovel. They're her horses, and we have an agreement- I come up with hay to put in the front end, and she takes care of what emits from the rear (except I have to/ get to spread it). And I get to have several old tractors around, to put up hay, etc. As she was pitching the other day (with daughter, who is one of the few feckless youths of today who really knows how to work, and doesn't mind it) she commented that she could get a lot bigger payload in the shovel if the shovel itself didn't weigh so much. BTW, in these perilously enlightened times can you still call a shovel a Mexican dragline? Just one of the random thoughts I experienced as I fearlessly spread that "brown gold" in a driving rainstorm on the mighty Cockshutt 35 (which someone painted pink with a brush- its a lovely thing).

Gave my wife a '63 IH Scout, not running yet. Then got to thinking I needed something for her to unwrap under the tree, so went to Farm Bureau and got her a set of "Farm Use" tags.

Got that all taken care of already ... a couple of exhaust valves, a snow shovel, paintbrush, you know - all the essential stuff. After all, a guy's gotta buy practical gifts these days.

Got Ole Kate a shopping trip over to Skagway. She wants some reloading supplies and a new outboard motor. Gotta get the Uni-Wheel's heater working.

I forgot to mention that heater as being another problem. What a joke that was, just a big wax candle and a Japanese fan to move the air around. And to think they charged extra for that.

Yup, that's a fact. This one's been up-graded though. It's got a heater that runs on lemon juice. It was invented by a Florida citrus farmer. It takes too much lemon juice for the BTUs producted, but it smells nice and keeps the bugs away. I figured out, too, that they don't grow many lemons around here. I going to try vit.C tablets.

Mine is getting a new color printer. She is heavy into "Scrapbooking" and is constantly taking pics. Film developing got cost prohibitive so last yr. she got a digital camera from ebay. This yr. with the color printer she should be setup for some time.
