469 New Holland Haybine

I have been having trouble with the wobble box hitting the hitch when I raise the table..Looked and looked ! This morning i found the culprit !
The head has two bars that go from the header to the round tube, main frame...well one of the bolts under it is about half way out ! Anyone have any ideas How the H I fix that??OR have a similar situation they have fixed ! Need Help today !! Great weather in Indiana have about 10 acres to mow ...But Not looking forward to haveing to mow it with the H And a Sickle bar if I can keep from it! Thanks All

Thanks for all the help ! The pin at the front of the hay bine table was half way out ...Loosened the springs, Removed the arm re-installed a make shift pin and Finished ! 12 Beers a good buddie and about 4 hrs ! Oh Yea Pick up truck and a chain for re aligning the head !

The safest method is to back off the tension on the lift spring on that side; or perhaps both sides. With tension on the spring you will be working against both the spring AND gravity.

then what do i do ? I can't see what is wrong other than I am about to chain the header to an oak tree and Pull the hitch and spread it apart !

I had that problem once. I had to jack the end of the header forward to free the pin.

I used to have one, but thankfully I didn't have that problem, so I can't give expert advice. However, I would try raising the header, put solid support under it, lower header on the support (cut motor off and let gravity settle the header on the supports) and see if that takes tension off the bolt so you can removeand relpace it or put it back in place. Hope this helps.
