First time tractor Mechanic...Help! Hairline cracks between inner cylinder walls...is this common? Is it a problem? Thanks

At the top of the block or at the bottom of the block? If this is between #1 & 2 sleeve and then 3 & 4? With your description you gave you should be good to go. Now if the cracks are on the bottom that is another matter. Questions? J.

It appears there are cracks on the bottom also, between cylinders. What now?

Not an uncommon occurance on a Continental Z block. It usually occurs due to overheating. Try to find a shop that know where you can get it furnace brazed and you'll be good to go. You can sometimes find used blocks on ebay. Midwest Cylinder Head (www.midwestcylinderhead.com) repairs castings.
