Ok, I'll admit I don't know everything. I have heard lots of talk about corn leaf collars and spraying corn. Can someone explain this to me? Is the collar the same as number of leaves? Is it the space between the leaves? Herbicide label says to spray up to 24 inches or 7 leaf collars. Corn is close to 24 inches but has more than 7 leaves? Where do you measure the 24 inches to? Pull leaf straight up and measure or just the average height of plant? If I can't get finished spraying this weekend, I think I might have to get drops to finish. Hoping we don't get any bad storms tonite and the wind will die down for a day. Thanks, Chris

The collar is where the leaf hits the stem. The first leaf you see doesn't have a collar so it isn't counted. It also has a rounded end.

If Knee High use drops to 12" above Dirt. If over knee High use Hi-boy Sprayer or stay out of the field, you are to late to do any good as far as Weed Kill is concerned.
