I was given a WC 300 Brunner freon compressor. I really like it because it's big and looks like a V-twin engine. The problem I have is that it is a freon compressor and I would like to use it for compressed air but it pumps out a lot of oil with the air. I have been told that that is what to expect from freon compressors. What can I do to get clean dry air from it?

Most times if the compressor was used on a low temp (freezer) application, there would have been an OIL SEPARATOR attached to the compressor.

This device is used to catch the oil in the hi pressure line and send it back into the crankcase.

I don't think it would be worth purchasing a $$$ separator if it didn't come with the compressor.

There is a small tank with fittings that used to lay underneath the compressor stand. I took it off but kept it. It has fittings on it too.
