I have an older 8hp B&S. It leaks fuel and I have narrowed the problem to the needle and seat. I have purchased a new needle, but it will continue to leak fuel. The carb has a pressed in seat. How do I pull that seat out in order to put a new one in. Thanks for your help.

I am not sure of what type carb. you have. However, I have worked on small engines for several years and most of these pressed in seats must be removed with a screw of some type screwed into it and pulled out. Some small engine carbs have a rubber washer inside the pressed in seat. The washer will be blown out if compressed air is used for cleaning. You could have a waterlogged float which would make the float too heavy to operate. The housing could have a crack. If it were mine, I would hook a line to the fuel inlet and blow or supply vacuum to the line and see if the needle and seat leaks.
