Hello All,

I inherited a 1916 Fuller Johnson model N from my father. The engine has not be running for about 3-4 years, but turns freely and has been stored under a cover. It is in spendid original condition for its age, including remnants of the original decals on the water hopper. I am having trouble starting it. I believe it has the ignitor ignition - I bought a new 6 volt battery, removed and cleaned the gas tank, etc. I'm thinking the ignition is at fault rather than fuel, but I don't know how to check the ignitor ignition. Could someone help, please?

Go to www.enginads.com, and post your question on the SMOKSTAK board. Are you using a coil along with the battery? A battery alone is not enough.
