Just got home with some round hay bales. Was unloading them into the shed with the 850. Just as I rolled into the shed with the last bale and killed the tractor I heard that tell-tale PSSSSS SSSSS SSSSS SSSS.

Rats.. hole in the tire. Oh well.. at least it is a front not a rear. Tire casings pretty bad.. not sure it will withstand removal and reboot.. but on the odd chance it will, I decide to leave tractor there vs driving it way back to the barn on a flat and deffinately ruining the casing.

So I go get the jack and tool box an an old 6.0-16 bare tr- rib booted on an old beater rim and head out to the 850. Tire swap was no big deal.. however Hmm.. hub is a tad loose.. better check those bearings.. Bearings turn out to be real good.. just need adjusting.. and repacked... By the time I got the tools up and wands washed.. done blown an hour and a half...Won't even try to get the flat repaired this weekend due to the holiday.. the spare should get er done fine for now.

its always something...

souNder...Just think if you had to call a service to fix that flat? Youre healthy, handy and wise and took care of it yourself. Now if you had remembered to wear gloves you wouldnt have to worry about the grease under your nails and be reminded of the flat for the next 2 days!
