Hmm. My GPS antenna is powered by the GPS (so maybe your GPS is 12V powered), and the antenna is a magnetic mount -- so I could just stick it on the top of the hood (or a fender, or whatever). No need to cut an access hole for a bracket to hold it - or are you talking about a "cm accuracy" type GPS (much bigger antenna)?
