I just bought a 1951 8N SN365242. The 8N current wiring situation is really bad a lot of cut corners. I would like to put on a 12V system. The kits includes Unicharge alternator w pulley, electrical resistor, wiring harness, top alternator bracket, base alternator bracket, alternator adjusting arm. What other parts will I need to complete this conversion?

Thanks,
Ryan

Ryan..... ..follow the instructions religiously, and you should be alright. Most kits are full and complete, thats why they are "kits".

Some conversion kits require you to use your OLD 6 volt sparkie coil and a 12 to 6 volt converting resistor because its cheaper and it works. Me? I'd use a real 12 volt roundcan ignition coil and NO RESISTORS..... ....Dell

A 12 volt advocate for the right reasons. That said, I haven't found the right reason for my eazy starting 6 volt 52 8N, and I know how to do it right, the first time.
