alright, i hooked everything up just like the instructions said, even replaced my old ammeter with a post one so my tractor looked just like the pics in the conversion instructions. turn on the ignition, make sure it's in neutral, press the starter button, and nothing. luckily, no one was around to laugh at me. any ideas? checked the battery, its got power all the wires seem to be intact, continuity tests ok. i'm completely befuddled and the grass in the field is waist high.

ok, went out in the garage, and checked all the connections for the like 20th time. rechecked the starter switch connection and then, not expecting much, pressed the starter button. man the old girl can really crank now. thanks for everyones advise and help. now i'm going to go drain the gas tank, give it a good flush and run the new wires for the 12 volt lights. gonna have to post a pic of the old girl soon. she's looking pretty hot with that new wiring harness.
