I couldn't help but gulp when I saw the photo classifieds and a 1952 8N Show Tractor advertised for $15,000.00.Around here, 15k could get me 4 8N's in very good condition..and enough money left over to buy another 5th of Chivas Regal to celebrate my newly aquire and quadrupled collection of 8N's. What does a show tractor have over a very good to restored 8N that would fetch a 15,000.00 asking price? If that's the case, and I have my 9N engine completely rebuilt for anywhere's from 1200-1500.00...maybe I could get $10,000.00 for my 9N. Add the 80.00 Zane Thang option, and maybe I could $12,000.00. aNy takers out there? |

| I have a 8N completely restored with a sherman live power unit installed and I would not sell for 15,000.00. But thats just my opinion |

| Well Tom, you see thats the asking price. You and I know it won't sell for that. However. If it does, we will have to call Claus to get the proper bottle size of chivas for the party. What am I saying? If they're going up that fast, I'm holding out til the crudie old 9N working tractors top out. Just have'n fun. Dale in VA. |

| There is no law against asking rediculous prices for what one owns. In this case the person does not really want to sell it.. Or hopes that there may be a mentally challanged person with a lot of money who may buy it.. By the way, there are no fifts of Chival Regal any more and have not for some time. Chivas like all booze now comes in 750 milli liters, liters and the one I like 1.75 liters. Very Happy Motoring Claus |
