On my 1969 MF 135, the front loader is very slow up and down. Is there anything i can do to make it faster? There is a lever standing in "fast" position on the right side under the seat.

Is it slower than normal or was it always slow? If seals in the cylinder are bypassing, the loader would creep down. If the loader runs off of the 3 pt. hydraulics, it will be slow. The only way to speed it up is with an aux. pump. If there is a heavy implement on the 3 pt. can make the loader slower as well and the 3 pt. will creep. Also the position lever has to be all the way back into constant pumping position with the float lever all the way back as well. Dave

Thanks for answering.
It has always been slow, but last time i used it, i believe it was even slower.

Hoping for some snow, so that i can try it out again!

Hello,
The first thing to check is that you have enough oil in the system. There is a dipstick in the plate which is marked fast and slow. This controls the drop rate of the rear linkage.
If your rear linkage is working OK have a look at the following;
Depending on what type of loader rams are fitted you may have oil passing the seals inside in one or both rams. Double acting only.
Are there any bends in the rods?
Check the steel and flex pipes for any sign of pinching.
Are you getting full movement on the operating levers/valves?
Have a look and please come back.

Thanks for answering :-)
I checked the oil, and it was below the min mark.
Filled it up to the maksimum mark.
I could not observe any difference so far, but i might will when next snowfall arrives, and there is some heavy load.
Thanks!

Front loader is single acting.
Couldnt see anything wrong with pipes etc.
It is a sesam loader
