I am woking on one that has sat for several years. And before that some kids messed with it. The problem I have now is trying to determine if it has the proper key switch in it. There are primarly 2 kinds. The one in it now doesn"t seem like the wire location matches up to the switch operation. A matching replacement from NAPA is # 7-01850.Going by the letters next to the terminals on the back of it. Can some one tell me if this is the correct one? The letters are B G L S M Thanks for any and all help.

The MF 12 started in 1969 as a hydrostatic drive.
In 1972 was changed to a vari-speed drive. The
plow, disc, and spring tooth were likely made by
Brinley Hardy. We sold these new back then. They
are excellent tractors-I sold one I had last summer to be a puller tractor. Depending on what
trans. in the tractor I should have various books
and material on them. Put it to use-you will have
good luck with it no doubt. Oh, the 620 snow-blow
had two kinds of mountings. Early ones mounted
right on the front bumper-later had a subframe
that went under the tractor. Chuck

I was working at a Massey Dealer in 1966 and the factory rep brought an MF-12 with hydrostatic to demonstrate. I remember his favorite trick was to go in reverse wide open (The only way to run a hydrostatic) then push the lever forward to burn off a patch in the parking lot, lifting the front wheels off the ground. This was to demonstrate how tough the hydrostatic was. Of course, he took that tractor with him so I never did find out how long it lasted.

I am restoring a MF12 lawn tractor that has been sitting up for several years. I need the headlights and the assemble that holds them in position.

Thx

Bud
