Is/was the mf35 perkins diesel a 12 volt or 6 volt starting system? Would seem like in the winter you would want 12 for a fighting chance in the real cold.

I believe the switch to 12v was made in 1957. So all (make me a liar here) MF35's were 12v as they were first produced in 1960. TO35D had the Standard Diesel, but it's first year was 1958, so it would have been 12v, too.

If I am wrong, please pipe up, cause my book is kinda vague.
