Would anybody be able to steer me in the right direction to find a one-way hydraulic cylinder for a Davis Loader. Compressed it's about 48"...Thank you

If no luck finding the real thing, PERHAPS you could find a similar cylinder at Surplus Center.

Mike...Sounds like it could be a boom cylinder from a MF or Davis #99 loader you should check with your local wrecking yards. Where are you located?

Thanks Gary. I'm located in Spokane Washington. Researching I don't see many parts for Davis or Skyline loaders. I read that Massey Ferguson took over Davis loaders in the late 50's. My loader is on a 1942 Cletrac and I broke a cast part on the cylinder where the seals are located. I'm hoping to just replace the broken part without having to have a new piece rebuilt by a machine shop for $500.00. Thanks again

Mike...you will need to check with some of the yards in your area. You could possibly use a double acting cylinder. I think all you need to do is install a filter in the down pressure fitting so that dirt will not get in. The cylinders(MF99)are fairly common. I will measure one tomorrow for size. Was that 48" center to center? Gary
