We found the problem with the 3pt on my 1080! It was the pressure control valve relef spring. MF part# 519 313 M2. After giving up trying to find the problem with my pump. We went to the salvage yard and picked up a pump out of a 1085. We rebuilt the pump the same as the origonal one comparing the parts as we progressed (everything looked good till we got to the spring). The origonal spring was about an inch shorter than the one out of the 1085. However we did put the 1085 pump in our 1080 reassembled everything and the 3pt works perfect. We bought this tractor in the early 70"s and the 3pt never did work very good. Hopefully this is the last time we have to split the tractor as she is going to get a new coat of paint in the next year.

Merle
