I have purchased a Davis Model 102A loader and plan on mounting it on my MF TO 35. I was wondering if there were any complications I should be aware of.

I have a 1955, To35 with out power steering, that came with a davis loader. I took the loader off cause i did'nt need it. just the weight alone of the loader makes it hard to turn the wheel. and if you get a load in the bucket you almost have to be moving to turn the wheel. still have the loader, if you want it i'll make you a great deal.

I have been restoring an old TO 35 so I have been very interested in any posts concerning the old Fergusons. I have seen on a number of occasions where they do not recommend putting a loader on a TO 35 because of the very weak arrangement for mounting the front axle. Big Dean, a very knowledgeable source and retired mechanic for Ferguson said that he has seen a number of these old tractors cave in when a bucket was placed on the TO 35. If you are loading manure and very light materials in the bucket, you will probably be OK, but if you plan to move rock or dirt, I would suggest you give this a second thought. Maybe you should send a note to Big Dean and get his read on it. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the information. I have a 1955 TO35 and a Davis Model 102 Loader. I am looking into the possibility of strengthening the front axle mount. I have a tendancy to overload and abuse everything I use!
