PTO seal is leaking rather badly on my MF35. The procedure for replacing the seal seems simple enough except for the possibility of the needle bearings falling out. I guess the bearings fall out because the cage is wore out. If they do fall out then how big of a deal is it to replace the needle bearings?

If it is the needle bearing in the rear shaft of the pump you would have to remove the pump to replace it. If it is the needle in the differential housing the pto shaft it's self runs in you have to remove the pump and the ground speed gear. I don't remember for sure but I thing there might be a bushing that has to be removed before you can replace that needle bearing. It very rare that bearing falls apart when the pto shaft is pulled out If I can be of further Email me
