How is the best way to tighten the throttle control to keep the lever from drifting down? I've tried a few ways but have been unsuccessful. Also, the engine races up to way too many rpms. What can I do about that? Thanks. Bill

1. Should be a friction disc at the bottom of the vertical shaft that comes up thru the cowling. Tightening the nut will do it....if yours is like my MF 35 and it should be.

2. Governor sets the rpm's. Throttle just puts pressure on the governor....fights it. The gov controls the carb. I'd get a manual and adjust it. My MF is diesel, but Ford gassers are similar and if the gov is not setup exactly as specified in the manual she will overrun or hunt.
