I have a combine that belinged to my wifes grandfather. The combine is a Massey Harris Model 60. The thing is about rusted to pieces but the motor and gearbox are still in the Combine. I was told that the motor may be a chrysler motor. I have know idea. I was just wanting to get the combine out of the woods at my house. Basically, is it worth my time to save the motor and gearbox before I cut the rest of the combine up for scrap? Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

Depends on whether the motor is seized or not. If you have the time put a battery in it and try to get it going with some fresh fuel. If it is seized than probably scraping the whole unit is not a bad idea.

I'd run an add in the Massey-Harris classified here and see what happens. Maybe e-bay. Put a low price or "free to a good home" and someone may need something and take it.

Someone, somewhere, wants it. You might spend years and mucho dinero finding them though. I would take the cash and forget it.
