The seal in the brass feul shut-off valve (attached to the feultank) of my 35 is made from a thinish sheet of cork which I normally cut to the required shape and then punch the holes in. No big deal. The problem is, it only lasts for about 6-8 openings/closings before it starts leaking again once I open it, which means I have to repeat the process, and that becomes a pain in the neck. What alternative material can be used in stead of cork that will last longer??
Thanks in advance.
Lourens.

I but rubber gaskets from my Massey dealer for about $1 apiece. He sell cork for the same price.
