I have the tractor serial number nailed down as being a 1958, thru help from this forum and the internet, and I am now trying to determine just exactly which perkins engine it was produced with.....based on the serial number stamped on the motor. THis will be important when working from the service manual as well as ordering parts. I also need a source for a good parts manual. John

my 2 eng. serial #'s are much higher than yours, so I believe the post above is accurate about your engine, & mine are AD4-203. I,too, would like to find parts books but MF 65 books are ok so far. have you tried the site www.fofh.co.uk ?

Thanks for all the help guys. Trailer Tam, since my tractor has an early perkins (4.192) can you tell me what the H.P. rating is on this engine? I have taken some digital photos of my old tractor if any of you are interested, maybe you could help me locate aftermarket grill parts that are missing or damaged. I would be glad to send a photo or two to any massey UK model owners. These early models are set up differently than later 65's. The grill screens are bolted on and the hood is different....and so forth. I am not sure if mine has been altered or not...and I will be checking with the regional massey dealer this week too.
