I was just thinking that I don't think I've ever seen a Massey Harris tractor (say from '39 onwards when they went to the styled versions) with a magneto. Am I right about this? I think most everyone else used them, some makes had both distributors and mags, but Massey?

Yes. I have a styled MH25 on a magneto, and a 1944 102 Junior which is fitted with a magneto and no other electrics.

I belive you have it right. I've seen MH 25's with a mag, but not the hot production models,
by '38. The 101 had a distributor, seen power supply F226's with a mag, but not the 44-6.
