I'm just noticing that there aren't many MH 30s for sale. Was wondering if anyone else noticed that? Parts shouldn't be an issue with these should they?

Engine parts are very available since MH used Continental flathead 4-cylinder engines in those model 30's. Most were the 140 cubic inch size but I think some were 162's. Same engine other than the cylinder bores and piston/rings. They were used on a ton of agricultural and industrial stuff too (including untold numbers on Lincoln welders). The transmission/differential unit was the same as on the earlier 101/102 Juniors and Seniors. Sheet metal was different than those models though (fenders probably the same). You see a number of the wide fronts up here for sale now and then, certainly not thought of as a rare tractor. A lot of guys still use them a bit for small hay operations, etc. They were replaced by the model 33 (overhead valve engines) around 1050 or thereabouts.

Was just in a conversation with someone about a 44-6 and the 226 continental it used. Didn't realize that these engine were in Willys and Kaisers also.

gee mike, i have a '48 model 30 gr and i haven't seen any more like mine here in central tx. maybe you have some contacts for parts and implements like say maybe an auger for post holes or maybe a radiator(mines leaking). i also need to fix my lift gear(mine doesn't work). i'm in the process of rebuilding and have just finished the engine with the help of a few suppliers i've found for the continential f162 that is in my mh-30. had a hard time finding these suppliers but finally did. i used my mh-30 for the first year or so just mowing grass around here then the waterpump went out, checked with the local tractor supplier and he wanted $360 for a rebuilt one so i pulled the tarp over the tractor and didn't bother with it for a year or two but i've reciently decided to rebuiled and lo a behold i found a new pump for $140. well send some tips if you can sounds like you know a few. thanks gerald

I"m having a hard time finding any implements to fit my MH30. The PTO shaft is too high to fit anything I own.

Not too many tractors around in 1050, well maybe some John Deeres but no Masseys.

Its too far for me. I was interested in looking at a pic to get an idea of what it was like for that price. Just bought a Ferguson 40 and restoring a MH Pacer so money funneling there at the moment. Better chance for the spring.

Thanks for the offer though.
