Anyone out there tell me what the differences were between the 101 series and the 101 Super series of MH tractors? Both had the 6-cylinder Chrysler flatheads but I see listings for the two models in some books here. I'm not referring to the Continental-powered Senior models.

The "101" was made only in 1938 with a 201 ci Chysler. Can be distinguished from the "101 Super" by individual brake pedals on left and right platforms, flat top fenders a chrome hood badge, and cast rear wheels. The Super name was added in 1939 when the "101 Junior" was introduced, so the two 101 models would have their own clear model names. The engine in the "101 Super" was increased in 1940 from 201 to 217 cid. Same stroke on the two engines the 217 has a bigger bore (3 1/8 to 3 1/4).

Thanks for the information. So both the 101 and the 101 Super appeared as standard wide front and narrow front styles right? And were the standard wide front axles the same overall tractor length as the row crop versions?

They made a row crop and a standard wide front.
As far as I know the overall length was the same.
