I just purchased a 67 4020 Gas powershift with just 1800 hours from a friend. How many of this model were made? Also this is hard starting off of the push button. According to previous owner it has been this way for 17 years or so. Seems to start well crossing the selenoid. Any ideas on this?

Another post says the new generation production numbers are published in the Jan - Feb 2008 issue of the Two Cylinder Magazine.

My '68 gas 4020 has an automotive relay wired between the start button and the starter solenoid to better handle the current.
