4020 Cast Weights same as R?

My 4020 has the large cast centers and no weights. From looking at pictures of a 4020 with weights, they look like they are the same as on my R. Rather than go dig some R weights out of the snow and all that, anybody know if they will work. I have 8 for my R that it really doesn't need right now.

The weights will fit on the 4020. The weights for 34in “R” wheels are the earlier version of the weights. The later two cylinders and New Generation tractors used the second series of the same weight with an additional set of “notches” cut out around the center, allowing the wheel to be adjusted in or out on the axle with the adjustment rack. You will not be able to utilize the rack for adjustments when the early version of the weights are mounted on the 4020, but if you just need to weight her down, it will work. Adjust the wheel track first, and then go for it!

Hello,

If the JD R has 34" rears it takes the weight with 3 bolts. 26" centers takes 2 bolt weights. I am in need of the 2 bolt weights for my JD R.

Thanks,
Don

Yes, my R has the three bolts. I'll have to dig out a couple and see if they will fit.
