My uncles got a 4020 with factory hyd front assist. Someone is trying to tell me that in fair condition its worth less than 7000. BS!!! That tractor was 12000 25 years ago plus it is rare. I think it worth 10000 fair condition and possibly worth 15000 to 17000 restored. What do you think. Let me have it!!!!

Fair Condition:
Undoubtedly needs tires?
Lots of hydralic oil leaks?
SCV's working properly?
Engine needs overhauled?
Guages, lights probably not working?
Sheet metal in good shape?
FWA working or not?

Anyone of these items needing repaired or replaced takes thousands off your "dream tractor" price, so 7000 for a tractor in "fair" condition is a starting point, and in all probablitiy more than what it is worth, especially if it was used as a loader tractor, or if it was on a dairy farm.

Heck ducknose if you call that fair shape than this 4020 is in exelent shape. Its got new tires, runs awesome, and everything works and always has, sheet metal is straight as an arrow never had a loader on it just a silage wagon behind it all this jem needs is a gallon of green and a pint of yellow a couple of stickers and were in business

Do you have a contact number - phone address etc. I'm tracking fwa owners and simply would like to know how to contact him - not necessarily looking to buy but just wanting to know where they are at. you can email me too
thanks

It's worth absolutely nothing until he tries to sell it. The value of any tractor depends solely on the need and want of the buyer. It could be worth $12K to $14K now but if the economy tightens up tomorrow it may only be worth $6k. Unless you are selling, value is only a relative term.
