I started up the old girl and had fuel running down block behind fuel filters. I have a cracked plastic piece. It says roosa master on it. It looks as though 3 have been replaced and the other three I broke today. Only one was leaking to start with...as I wiggled the broken one off the other two on either side also cracked. I friend of mine wa bringing me 2 loads of class 5 and after first load he stopped by one of his friends place who has 9 John Deeres...all late models though. He brough me some rubber tubing. The trouble is that the upper metal line diameter is different than the lower slotted looking thing that it connects to. Can I stretch rubber over it or do I need this specialty part? How much are they and where can I get em?

Anyone tell me part # so I don't have to describe this 40 year old tractor to some guy who has never heard of one over the phone? :] Any help greatly appreciated as I am dead in the water. At least I am not adrift.

What is this metal tube to rubber / plastic to slotted nut.metal tube system? This what recirculates and warms the diesel fuel and returns to fuel tank? Wouldn't this be a high pressure thing? Thanks for any help. John.

Nylon, according to JD parts.com the # is R34765/boot.If you replace one,you better replace ALL of them.YTmag may have these parts as it is common for them to get brittle and leak.Tx Jim

TXJim,

Thanks...you were dead on with that part #. It was also reassureing in that when I called the closest John deere ag (70 miles) I descried the part and he had the part # memorized and read me back your part # immeadiately. I didn't say what part # I had seen from you. We talked about my brake problems as well and helped me with diagnosing and discussing the clues. Thanks again.

John

Morning John;Sounds like your describing the return lines of your fuel system. If so the "slotted nuts" you refer to may be banjo fittings with hose barbs for the rubber hose to fit over.I know my answer is vague but I believe the return fuel lines are what you are describing. Hope this helps a little.Good Luck! Kenny
