Early model 4020 D : SN 17000"s row crop tractor.
Replacing pressure plate assembly all the way to the flywheel(Including the flywheel) I didn"t realize that the new flywheel would not include the dowel pins. My old flywheel dowel pins are in great shape. Can I use these in the new? And if so...what is the best method for removal without destruction? I"ve noticed that there have been updated modifications to other parts as this process evolves and I am wondering if this flywheel may be another? Because when compared to each other the old dowel pin alignment is not the same set up as the new... Any help would be appreciated.

I assume you are talking about the dowel pins with the square shoulders, the pressure plate rides on?The parts book shows the flywheel to include the pins.Think you may have the wrong flywheel. The complete clutch pack is balanced at the factory.Notice the drilled holes in the cover? Any dowel pin setup other than original is going to destroy the flywheel balance.Have you considered having the old flywheel ground instead if replacing it?
