I can't give you the web sites. But I'm a New Holland dealers parts manager, and if you're contemplating using "economy" cutting parts the advice I give my customers is don't change all at once. Put on some "economy" parts, and some OEM parts side by side. You'll see why they are WORTH more. I'm selling my late style (long) guards for $9.40 US, or $9.25 for 25 or more.

Are you refering to double guards that would fit on a 456? If so, where are you located?

Even in the boonies, there is usually a farm supply store somewhere around. they will sell guards for $5-8, and no shipping, which kills you on iron. Also, you are keeping money local, which is a plus to some.

(*see below), um, well, many more mail-order places are out there. They are not all up to speed on the internet yet, but most have a web page with contact info at least.

Some things it pays to go to the dealer, some things (bearings for example) come from the same plant just higher priced at the dealer, and some things (like Gleaner belts, for example! :) are cheaper & much better from anyplace but the dealer...

* After many tries to post this message, I see Kim has some content blocking software going on here again. I was trying to mention s h o u p and v a l u - b i l t - but, was locked out as if I'm saying profanity. Odd. Don't mind keeping things clean, but blocking a person trying to help other does seem going over board?
