Need advice on buying a Disc for 8N. What size is best 5'? 6'? 1 row? 2 row? Don't really know how to describe it. Any advice is appreciated.

Last year I bought a 2 row disc @ 6 ft wide for our 8N and it is a great match. It has 6-16" disc per rank, 2 angled ranks per row for a total of 24
The forward row disc are serrated. I paid $400 for it new and it's not too heavy for the 3 pt hitch. Only caution I have is that you watch out for close radius turns in tight corners. The back outer disc really spin a big radius so be careful in and around vehicles and building etc. Performance-wise I usually run in 3rd gear @ 1500RPM depending upon how rough the plowed ground is. I don't need to add any weight because it chops just fine. After using, I spray a light film of 50-50 mix old motor oil and kerosene to prevent rust and lub up all the grease fittings.

6' would be fine. That's wide enough to cover 2 38" rows of corn stalks. Get one with scrapers on the disks. They cost a little more, but keep the dirt from balling up between the blades. Don't get one too heavy, though. You'll want one that your 8N can still pick up. Check out Monroe-Tufline, they make good disk harrows.
