I see that know one answered my ad on Adobe Rollers, maybe I need to discribe this type of roller or rings. Here in California, in the west central coast we use this type of roller to break our dirt clots on clay ground. This roller or rings comes as a two pieces or a singal piece.
Its inside diameter is 6" and out side is about 18", total width 4" at center with it tapering to a point. Normally we run this type of tooling behind a disk or chisel. Thanks.

I think your talking about a Soil Pulverizer. The Brillion iron works, at Brillion Wisconsin makes them.www.brillionfarmeq.com There are lots of others also.

If you are looking to purchase a roller for breaking clods- here are two other options: Make a roller out of corrugated culvert, or truck tires. With the culvert, weld two steel cookies in each end to attach steel shafts and bearings to a yoke frame, and pull it behind your tillage machine or planting equipment. Truck tire roller uses a similar frame, and instead of the culver, use large diameter gas pipe with the tires slipped over the pipe. Either one can be made watertight, so adding water increases weight and crushing action. My 13 footer, used behind a grain drill, cost under $300. I use it not to break clods, but get seed to soil contact with soybeans and alfalfa. Better stand, less seed.
