Can anybody point me in the right direction to get information on the "small" implements used at most Agricultural Experiment Stations? I think some of that equipment would be great for us old guys with small tractors and small acreage. Thanks for the help!

Try searching for 'vegetable market farming equipment' on the net. Also, 'seed farming' equipment. Much of the smaller stuff is made in Europe. If you have a local farm market co-op, they also might help. Also talk to transplanter companies like Mechanical and Holland . Their people might help you with other mfg's names.

Get your checkbook ready!!! These are small-volume machines made for the government - they cost about the same as the big new red & green machines - only the size is small.

I was across some of those sites just the other day. I will try to go back and find them and let you know. It seems there were two companies, one was MF I believe, that make small combines and pickers etc. It wasn't on MF's main site, though. Another was some company in Nebraska that built similar equipment. I'll find them and let you know.

Call your local experiment station and ask them. They may even have used equipment for sale.:)
