Does anyone know of an aftermarket source for Ford 501 Sickle Bar Mower parts such as the stabilizer kits, bearings, or transport rod. Ford thinks they are made of gold. I know where I can get pitman/sickle parts.

Another question, does anyone have a scrap 501 they are willing to part out?

David, If you are needing all of those parts then I say you already have you junk machine for parts you just need to find the working machine. LOL I have worked on these mowers for years and Ford is the only one that makes parts for them. I would suggest that you see if you can find someone that has one for sale (good time of year to buy one) that is in good shape. I have seen them sell for less than $400 on eBay in the last month and the guy would ship it for $89. Might be the way to go.
