I've got an old Ferguson 3 pt side-delivery hay rake. Is there a way to adjust the 'fluffiness' of windrows with it? I've got some pretty heavy grass hay that I'd like to fluff as much as possible to help it dry.

thanks!
Tom

Given the adjustments for rakes such as the Rolabars and JD's I would try to lengthen the toplink and see. Like Snuffy Said the angle of the basket changes the "fluffyness" of the windrow. The more vertical the front face the fluffier. That is why I would look for an adjustment on the rake that changed that or use the toplink.

Tom I am not familier with your rake but a lot of rakes have an adjustment that allows you to change the position of the teeth either forward or back, to accomadate different hay conditions. This adjustment usually pivits the whole reel up or down but is seperate from your hight adjustment. Take a look and hope this helps. Snuffy
