My brush hog doesn't have a slipclutch or a shear pin, is there an aftermarket one I could put in between the tractor and the pto shaft of the mower. Either one is fine (slipclutch or shearpin) preferably the lesser expensive one. It is a 16' pull type batwing Terrain Cutter.

That's an awful big one, is it running at 1000 rpm? Takes some hp!!!! I guess you would need a more expensive one than the little units at the farm supply stores made for 30 hp tractors.

I'd check into what the other person said about individual slip/shear units on each hub.

Phil, most new bat-wings DO NOT have a clutch on the main driveline from tractor to the cutter's divider box. They do have individual clutches on each sections gearbox, so that one section can slip and the others continue to operate. Almost all mowers this size use a slip-clutch instead of a shear pin arrangement. Maybe yours is set-up differently.
