After thinking abou it, a pull type combine is not practical anymore, but I'm still going to get it. Does anyone have any suggestions as far as getting it on a trailer? Because of it's width, it will be hanging off the sides of our trailer on rails. We're going to put wide load signs on it, too.

Does anyone have any other suggestions on operating it?

How far you got to go. If its not far, pull it with your truck. Pin up the header and haul away.

How far are you going? better have some spares (plural) tires/wheels. Even good looking older tires fail pretty quickly when running even 35 mph after several years of sitting still, be careful and good luck. Dick

Can't help you on the combine, but please check to see if you will need a permit for an extra wide load. Might save you a costly ticket.
