I am looking at a Cub Cadet 1810 which is about 5 yrs. old. It looks to have the same strength built into it as the older 1450, 1650 etc.. Am I correct or am I wrong in my accessment? Also it has a 18hp twin Kohler which I assume is the standard motor for the 1810. Any information appreciated. I have a Cub 1000 but not familiar with later model Cub such as this one.

I have a 1812 and was told that model (1810, 1811, 1812) were made 1985-1989 ? so i am sure it is older than 5 years. mine also has an 18h kohler

Chk the engine real well to see if there is any signs of being over heated,it is common for the gov shaft rod to fall out when this has happened .also i have seen the magnets lose in the flywheel
