Cub Cadet 123 needs help

Hi.

I bought a CC 123 last year and it basically runs but needs attention. The mower deck needs new blades, bearings, etc. It's a three blade 42 inch deck.

The tractor itself seems to run ok, although if it stalls I have a hell of a time restarting it.

One other thing: I have a sloping lot and my machine creeps uphill, even when I have the power level plunged far forward. Is this normal?

I'd appreciate any comments. I've been looking for a service manual for this tractor, but I've only been able to find a parts manual. Also, because I bought it used, I don't even have an operators manual. Basically, I'm totally in the dark about this tractor but I'm eager to change that.

your 123 Cadet should climb any hill as long as
the engine has power. The hydro lever should not
have to go all the way forward! Have you ever changed oil and filter in the hydro? If not start
with that using Hytran oil and a Cub Cadet filter.
Both of these are available from your Cub Cadet dealer or Case-IH dealer.

I would probably have a service manual if you would like to buy it for $20 plus shipping.
