Craftsman/Kohler generator question

I have a craftsman riding mower with an 18hp Kohler engine. The previous owner was pretty hard on it (it came with the house...) and the headlights are broken out. I found a place to get the factory ones but since they're not too bright anyway I thought about replacing them with Fog Lights or something similar. Not the real high power ones, just normal ones (or maybe a single light).

Does anybody know how much power (ie: how many amps)the generator puts out on that engine? I don't want to put lights on it that draw more power than the generator can supply.

if you put fog lights on it, it will not hold a charge, most of them are in the 10-20 amp range on charging. you can go get a couple of 12v tractor lights and it should work for you. No halagon, just plain old headlights.

That's all I need, I didn't mean those high-powered ones like the old KC Daylighters, just the cheapo add-on lights. I think they would be much brighter than the factoy lights, if I can mount them in the same holes as the old lights so they won't look tacky I may just do it. I was just curious how much the generator put out so I don't draw more power than it can produce.
