Cub Cadet 1715 w/17hp kohler mag has no spark

after the tractor runs for an hour or so it shuts off and I have no spark. I replaced the coil and it still did it so I returned the coil. after I let it sit for awile it fires back up. I checked the gap on the coil, jumpered the safty switches, replaced the ign. switch, starter sol. I need a few tips

I had similar problem and after doing some of the same things you've already done, I found a short in the wiring. It was rubbing and shorted out the ignition current sometimes. I replaced all the wiring from back to front and placed in flexible tubing to prevent reocurrance. The one hour thing, though makes me think it's got to be something else possibly related to heat.

Does that engine have a condenser? If so, it might be bad ...
