I have a cub cadet model 2135, with electric pto. The pto will not engage. I have changed the relay and pto switch. I found an almost broken wire, repaired it, still have problem. The pto will engage, then will not, work, not work. Local shop is no help. Right now the tractor is useless for cutting. help!

In regards to 2135 problems does anyone know wher e you can get service manuals for a 1996 2135. I have the engine service manual for the Kohler CH13 engine, but I need to see how to pull the engine out so I can replace the elctronic magneto ingintion module. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 2130 same problem I use to use a screw driver to help engage the electric clutch then that wouldn"t help either. I have checked the relay and switch and the apear to allow a weak current to come through. Not strong enough to keep the PTO engaged. I have not replace the 200 dollar pto clutch yet though I did bypass the factory wiring with my own swithch straight from the battery through a 30 amp fuse and it works great now. Let me know if you find out what causes this?

I have a 2135 also with almost the same problem.
After the trial and error routine, This is what
I came up with (don't Laugh), I think it has to do with the magnets in the drive pulley, I have
to keep a hammer in the tractor and tap the
the drive pulley, be very careful there's not
to much room. Good Luck ED

I believe that model also has a seat switch, and a switch that cuts out the PTO when you back up. Check those out. The seat switches can be troublesome.
